– and neither are the people at the other end of the lead.
Our 1-to-1 training is completely tailored to your dog, your struggles and your everyday life. Whether you’re dealing with reactivity, anxiety, over-excitement, pulling on the lead, recall struggles or you simply feel like nothing you’ve tried is working, we’ll help you understand why the behaviour is happening and what to do next.
And no, we’re not here to judge you, tell you off or promise a magic quick fix.
We start by looking at the whole picture. What’s your dog struggling with? What triggers the behaviour? What happens before, during and after it? And, importantly, what do you want everyday life with your dog to look like?
From there, we’ll build a realistic training plan around you both.
– Understanding your dog’s body language, triggers and thresholds
– Building engagement and communication
– Loose-lead walking and recall
– Helping reactive or anxious dogs feel safer around their triggers
– Teaching practical skills for real-life situations
– Building confidence and emotional regulation
– Learning when to train, when to create distance and when your dog simply needs a break
– Helping you feel more confident handling situations when they happen
Where possible, we work in the environments where you’re actually having problems.
That might be outside your home, on your usual walking route, in an open space, around distractions or wherever is most appropriate for your dog’s individual needs.
We’re not interested in making dogs look perfectly obedient for an hour. We want to give you skills that actually make everyday life easier.
Support between sessions
The training doesn’t stop when we leave.
You’ll have clear, manageable things to practise between sessions, along with support when you need it. We keep training short, achievable and realistic, because neither you nor your dog needs hours of homework every day!
We use positive, reward-based training and never rely on fear, intimidation or aversive tools.
For us, progress isn’t about forcing a dog through something until they “get used to it.” It’s about understanding what they’re communicating, working at a level they can cope with and gradually building the skills and confidence they need.
Because sometimes progress isn’t your dog walking straight past another dog.
Sometimes it’s them noticing that dog, staying calm, checking back in with you and carrying on.
Those wins matter.
